Bruce Dewar, CEO, 2010 LegaciesNow
Bruce Dewar has over 20 years of experience developing and implementing strategic plans for both private companies and public agencies. He is well-versed in developing business plans, market-entry strategies, market research, brand extension and repositioning in a changing marketplace. He has been involved in several international projects spanning 12 countries.
Bruce has been involved in numerous community-based organizations. He was chair of the Board of Directors for the Laurier Institute, chair of the Vancouver Coast and Mountains Tourism Region Association, on the Board of Directors for Tourism Vancouver and on the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Board of Trade. He also served as president of the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese garden, an advisor to Asian Heritage Month and director of the Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival. Bruce has also presented at several conferences, seminars and post secondary institutions on developing partnerships, business development, marketing and international business.
Bruce holds a Masters of Science in Management of Technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.).
