How We Work
At the Whistler Centre for Sustainability, we believe there is a need to view businesses, communities and indeed the world through a systemic, integrated lens. Only then can we address the global issues of climate change, environmental degradation, the social inequities of people not being able to meet their basic needs, as well as local and global economic challenges. Our economy is influenced by the well-being of our society, and both are supported by a healthy environment. We cannot positively address any particular element without addressing the whole. Applying this integrated approach to sustainability planning helps us create a shared vision and implementable actions that will move us towards the future we aspire to for ourselves and for our children.
We also believe that in order to accelerate the journey toward sustainability, we must creatively collaborate and constantly learn. By doing so, we will be able to lead and inspire others to do the same.
Finally, every community and business client is different and each requires a tailored approach to meet their needs. Our approach to strategic success and sustainability is flexible and scalable; it can be applied to any client and situation. |
