“As a fellow ‘Strategic Planner’ I found your workshop to be both informative and interesting. You are an excellent presenter that held the attention of the eager group for the entire three hour workshop. Kudos!” David Thompson, Chair of the Squamish Savings Board

Getting communities moving in the same direction toward a shared vision is the essence of our community planning work. This also requires all community organizations and businesses to be able to effectively achieve their own mission and to contribute toward the community vision and goals.

Our strategic planning ‘how to’ workshop brings community organizations together in one session and introduces them to strategic planning – what it is, what the benefits are, and what are some of the tools and techniques for designing and delivering a strategic planning process for their organizations. Not only do we introduce the tools and techniques, we have participants practice using them during the workshop, and our experience is that the tools and techniques can also be applied to other meetings, making them more efficient, effective and fun for everyone. Finally, we also share a number of strategic planning workshop templates with participants so they can jump into the process easily and with minimal costs.

We have delivered this ‘how to’ workshop to a number of Whistler and Squamish non-profits and the feedback from the participants was excellent; they asked for another session to focus on the workshop tools and techniques which is now bundled into one comprehensive workshop.
