The Centre for Sustainability has announced the three Whistler businesses shortlisted for the Whistler Excellence Awards, Sustainability in Action Business Award.
The three shortlisted businesses are:
- Whistler Conference Centre
- Canadian Wilderness Adventures
- The Green Moustache Organic Juice and Live Food Bar
The Sustainability in Action Business Award is presented by the Whistler Centre for Sustainability to celebrate businesses that have achieved excellence in sustainability through the introduction and implementation of sustainable practices and strategies. The shortlist and selection winner is made by a selection committee comprising business and non-profit leaders in the community.
Eligible businesses must have made a considerable positive impact in progressing the success and sustainability of their sector and in the resort community; be able to articulate a vision of what they need to do to further progress toward sustainability (i.e. know what is next); and communicate the story and rationale of their sustainability practices/strategies to their customers.
We would also like to congratulate our very own Chris Dickinson who is nominated for Citizen of the Year Award!
The award recipient will be announced the 4th Annual Whistler Excellence Awards event on Thursday, June 18th at the Westin Resort and Spa.
