Whistler Centre for Sustainability Planning Assistant Chis Dickinson honoured by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) Power of Youth Leadership Award.

Recognizing young leaders in B.C for Social Movement Building and Analysis and Solutions, the CCPA awarded Dickinson for his work with the community’s homeless population. “I got to go down and meet with the whole organization,” Dickinson said of the April 16 ceremony. “They’re just incredible. It’s a really inspiring group of people and they’ve done really innovative work. I was really honoured to be there.”

Chris began working with Whistler’s homeless population in 2014 when he entered a film making documentary on the topic. Chris connected with local homeless people and helped to bring greater awareness and light to the issue of homelessness.
