The Town of Faro is undertaking a comprehensive update of its Official Community Plan (OCP), which will comprise: an updated Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP), an updated OCP, and a Strategic Plan for the community. Faro’s ICSP will create a shared inspirational vision for the future of the community that will guide all decision-making. It will reflect the community’s values and hopes, and be used to develop and renew other policies and plans, creating more unified direction toward the vision.

The “imagine Lacombe” process to develop a Municipal Sustainability Plan (MSP) to guide Lacombe, Alberta into the future is just underway, and partner organizations and citizens are being asked to get involved in the process to create the vision for the town’s success and sustainability. Assisted by the Whistler Centre, the MSP will be developed between now and March 2013, informed by an advisory team comprised of staff, Council and citizen representatives. Once developed, the MSP will be used by the City of Lacombe and by partner organizations to guide decisions and activities at all levels and across all functions.
