Mark Allison

Senior Planner and Manager, Advisory Services

Mark Allison is the Whistler Centre for Sustainability’s Senior Planner and Manager of Advisory Services, overseeing energy, emissions, and community sustainability planning projects.   Before the Centre, Mark was the Senior Planner for Surrey, leading the Sustainability Charter process, the City Centre Plan, the Official Community Plan and energy studies.  Mark was the Transportation Planner for New Westminster, the Regional Growth Strategy Coordinator for the Fraser Valley Regional District, and a sustainability planning consultant, after finishing a masters degree in community and regional planning at UBC.  Mark is a long-time board member with the Community Energy Association and served 6 years on the board of Smart Growth BC.
