Chris Quinlan
RMOW Councillor, Manager of the Whistler Farmer’s Market
I have lived and worked in Whistler since 1991. The election of 2011 marks the end of my first term as a municipal councilor for the RMOW. I started out driving a transit bus, worked for Blackcomb Skiing Enterprises and have built and/ or operated a number of Food and Beverage businesses in that time. I am currently the manager of the Whistler Farmers Market.
I serve as vice chair of the Whistler Housing Authority and a director for the Whistler Centre for Sustainability. I sit as council rep for the Liquor License Advisory, Business Enhancement committees as well as the Standing Committee for Audit and Fananda. My volunteer work includes Auctioneering / MCing for WAG, The Whistler Arts Council, Whistler Health Care Foundation and the Kathy Barnett Leadership Luncheon. I also volunteer for WORCA and Museum fundraisers. I am the founding president of the Restaurant Association of Whistler.
My passions are cycling, skiing, theatre, cooking for friends and enjoying good wine with them while we eat the results.
